Fuk This Place (“the Site”) is operated by COMPRESOLUTIONS, LLC, a Washington limited liability company (“we,” “us”). By using the Site or posting anything on it, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Site.

1. Who can use the Site

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post. You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself.

2. Your posts

You keep ownership of the videos, audio, photos and text you post. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, adapt (for example, resize or transcode) and distribute your post on the Site and in promoting the Site. You can delete your posts; the license ends when the post is removed, except for copies already shared by others or kept in routine backups.

By posting, you confirm that:

  • You own the content or have permission to post it.
  • Your post reflects your own real experience and honest opinion. Fake, paid or incentivized reviews aren’t allowed, and neither are reviews of your own business or a competitor’s.
  • Anyone clearly identifiable in your video, audio or photos has agreed to appear, or appears only incidentally in a public place.
  • Your post doesn’t break the law or these Terms.

3. Rant all you want. Here’s what’s not allowed.

Rants about businesses, places, products, services and jobs are the point. These are not:

  • Statements of fact you know are false, or claims that a person or business committed a crime without proof.
  • Targeting private individuals: posting someone’s full name with accusations, home address, phone number, license plate, or other personal information, or encouraging others to contact or harass them.
  • Threats, incitement to violence, or harassment of anyone.
  • Hate speech or attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits.
  • Nudity or sexual content, and any content involving minors in a sexual, abusive or exploitative way (reported to authorities).
  • Content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or privacy.
  • Spam, scams, malware, or ads you weren’t authorized to place.
  • Confidential employer information such as trade secrets, customer data or private documents. Complaining about your job is fine; leaking files is not.

4. Moderation

New posts are reviewed before they go live, and edited posts may be reviewed again. We can decline, edit for length or format, remove or restrict any post, and suspend or close any account, at our discretion and without notice. We don’t endorse what users post, and we aren’t obligated to keep any content up. See something that breaks these rules? Use the Report Abuse page or the report link on the post.

5. Curated and embedded content

Some posts feature videos embedded from third-party platforms such as YouTube. Those videos stay hosted on that platform, belong to their creators and are credited to them. Creators who want their video removed from the Site can ask through the Report Abuse page or the copyright process below, and we’ll take it down.

6. Copyright complaints (DMCA)

We respect copyright and respond to notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send our designated agent a notice that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  3. The URL of the material on the Site you want removed.
  4. Your name, mailing address, phone number and email.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Counter-notice. If your post was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent with: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and phone number, with consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any district where we may be found) and agreement to accept service from the person who filed the original notice. We may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the complaining party tells us it has filed a court action.

Repeat infringers. We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.

Sending a false notice or counter-notice can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

7. Disclaimers

Posts are the opinions of the people who wrote them, not ours. The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any content is accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for anything users post. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to $100.

9. Indemnity

You agree to cover our costs, including reasonable legal fees, if a claim is brought against us because of something you posted or because you broke these Terms.

10. Changes, law and contact

We may update these Terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept the changes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts in King County, Washington. Questions: use the Contact page.
